80 km from the city of Ourense, Manzaneda is situated as the village that opens the doors of the only ski resort in Galicia, Cabeza de Manzaneda or Cabeza Grande, of 1782 msnm, the roof of the Massif Central Ourensano. In the foothills of the Big Head, very close to the river Bibei is the medieval village of Manzaneda. Unknown villa that hides a traditional urban care of mountain.
Today, there are preserved 100 of the original 400 meters of the perimeter that had the defining wall of the medieval village. The street from "Porta de Abaixo" to "Porta da Vila" offers a curious walk to know this traditional mountain architecture. At the site of the ruins of the Keep was prepared a viewpoint from which to enjoy the views of the valley dominated by the elevation on which the villa is built.
