This is one of the largest natural areas in Galicia, a mountain shared with León and Asturias, included in the Natura 2000 network and it has three Biosphere Reserves: Eo River, Oscos and Terras de Burón, Terras do Miño and Ancares Lucenses. Also an area of passage of the Camino de Santiago - Camino Primitivo.

A mountain destination, until recently difficult to access, which preserves almost intact the traditional architecture characteristic of the pallozas, the houses for sheepers, and the traditional "alvarizas" for honey... territory of wolves, bears, wild cat, deer... It is also a Special Protection Area for the Brown Bear.

Today, different interpretation centers bring us closer to the ethnographic, landscape and natural richness of these mountains.
An essential destination for mountain lovers and also for hikers who love simple life and mountain ethnography.
